*Characters with other affiliations other than Metal Age.
Metal Age members are mostly men and can be identified with a red scarf tied around their neck, though there may be exceptions.
Kuniko Hojo(北条 國子)Edit
A young girl who skillfully wields a boomerang in the defense of her town from the military or anyone who seeks to intervene. She is usually shown clad in a girls' sailor-designed school uniform. She is extremely athletic and has a rambunctious personality. However, except for her physical ability and skills with the boomerang, she has no other known special abilities. Her huge boomerang is made of carbon nanotube.
Kuniko is affectionately known to the residents of Duomo as Kuni-chan. At the age of sixteen, she was arrested as a terrorist for seeding tear gas in a school and was sent to a reformatory. This was however done to assist a friend while the true culprit was caught. In the anime version, she went in place of her friend for her crime and was imprisoned for two years in a girls' reformatory. This is where we see in the beginning of the anime, where she is released by the girls' reformatory. Although not part of Metal Age, she is designated as the future head of the anti-government organization. Referred to as "The Sun", she is also known as Digma 2. Her true identity is the clone of Jimmu (Himiko in the anime).

A transsexual with a flamboyant personality and a forever-28-years-old perspective. She met a young Kuniko then when she had escaped to Shin-okubo and has since cared for Kuniko almost as a daughter and a mentor to her combat skills.
She was previously a manager of a transexual pub in Roppongi called "Tropical Fish" (that was located at Dogenzaka, Shibuya), which she had to abandon then. It is her dream to re-open the pub if she gets to move to Atlas, however, when Miiko won the lottery to Atlas instead, she gave up that dream.
Before Momoko was a transexual, she was a well-known Judoka . In the anime, her weapon of choice is a whip that is coiled around her arm until she activates and uses it. She has a liking towards men, and is displayed attacking them through the use of an uncomfortable encounter for the soldiers. She has high athletic abilities, combat efficiency, as well as notable beauty.

*Miiko(ミーコ)EditDogenzaka. Miiko seems to tend to cry a lot and tends to be picked on by other members of the group. As the winner of the Atlas Lottery, he is entrusted by Momoko to reopen the Tropical Fish in Atlas, however he is bought by Sayoko to serve Mikuni as her lady-in-waiting in the Moon Palace.
In the anime, before he became a transsexual, he was cultivated as a sumo wrestler, thus the enormous strength in his hands still prevails even after his changes.
In episode 16, through Ryouko's arbitrary authority, Miiko is forcibly turned into Hiruko's newest vessel. However, he is able to fight the lord's personality and temporarily gain dominance over his body. Sayoko takes him and Mikuni away from Atlas.
He sacrifices himself and Hiruko to save Sayoko and Mikuni by shielding them during the bombing of Neo Akihabara. At the end, he reappears in front of Sayoko and Mikuni to bid Mikuni a final farewell and to cure her of her disease and ability. He also asks Sayoko to take care of Mikuni like a real mother before disappearing with the souls of the other children who are sacrificed to protect Atlas.

*Nagiko Hojo(北条 凪子)Edit
Kuniko's 'grandmother' and the head of Metal Age. She places a firm emphasis on learning and is much sterner and reserved than Kuniko is. She wants Kuniko to become the next leader of Metal Age but Kuniko does not want to be. She also disagrees with using the internet for information and gets her knowledge from the many books she has.
Nagiko is actually the first CEO of Atlas Corporation and the one who came up with the Atlas Project. She received funds from Sergei Talsian in order to build the futuristic city for their descendants. After Kuniko confronts her about this fact and receives no explanation, Kuniko is forced to expel her from Duomo. However, Nagiko reappears later on to help Kuniko to negotiate with Ryouko to grant temporary shelter inside Atlas for the inhabitants on the surface, so that Metal Age can eradicate Daedulus by burning Tokyo down. Nagiko was also somewhat of an idol in Akihabara during the Electric Town Era.

In the anime, he concurrently served as an inspector in Kashima as well. Due to Takehiko's sister being held hostage, he was an agent sent under Ryouko's orders to watch over Kuniko, with the code-name #13. He strongly believed in the construction of Atlas but was shattered when he found out that his younger sister Yasuko was used as a sacrifice with the other children in the city's construction. Losing all hope, he attempted to kill Kuniko in order to ruin Atlas' plans but was interfered by Kunihito. He told Kuniko about her true role as the inheritor of Atlas before seemingly killing himself by jumping into a storm drain. He survived however and reappeared at the ending, where he tried to destroy Atlas but was killed by Soichirou in the end.
